Lower Impact Pony Play

I've found that a lot of pony play can be high impact- like running is. I've found working in a pool (during the summer/when its warm enough) is really helpful. What are other ways to adapt pony play to be easier on the joints?

Re: Lower Impact Pony Play

That's a great idea! I actually had not thought about working in a pool, but this is something I will for sure try when it gets a little warmer out.

A lot of my play has been on soft surfaces like grass or sand, which seems to help. I've also found that when I try to stay on the balls of my feet, this not only gives me a more equine look but also reduces the stress/impact from radiating up to my knees and hips.
