I went to Folsom Street Fair today and was able to get there early enough to watch wheels up of the "Creature Cavalcade". Here are some of the photos I took:
A latex pony:
A false color infrared photo of the latex pony. The pony's mask and boot laces are actually black, as is the woman's hat:
I loved all the human animals at the fair, but for some reason these two stood out to me as the cutest pair:
I thought this puppy was particularly cool. She seemed very playful, and she was holding a leash attached to a pony's collar, and she has beautiful eyes:
A three pony team pulling a cart (cart not visible) with Mistress Liliane Hunt:
A close up the last pony in the photo above, who has a wonderful mane:
The middle pony from the team above. I love the purple halter, and the matching polos (not visible in this photo):
A puppy and a kitty playing:
A two pony cart:
Beauty (subMissAnn) pulling a cart:

A pony with a cool tattoo:
Another photo of the puppy's eyes:
The latex pony having a drink of water after making a circuit of Folsom:
I love the purple on this ponygirl's blinders:
One of the ponygirls in a two pony cart pulling team:
Some puppies hitched to a cart (sled?):
Yay for human animals:
More human animals:
A ponyboy pulling a cart in hoof boots - these boots are ballet boots and he was able to pull the cart several times throughout the fair, which is very impressive:
A couple ponies just hanging out:
I love the outfit:
One of the leaders of the procession:
A ponygirl pulling a cart:
A fortuitous photo of a panther (check out the sign in the upper right corner):
A new sight for me is this harness attached with a horse bit:
And there was another one though this time with a western bit with port:
It is apparently necessary to remind attendees that it is not acceptable to have sex in the alleys:
Before today, the last time I went to the fair was 2007, when I went in full pony attire (though not with my current trainer), but not too much has changed. I didn't see anything that I found shocking/surprising, which probably says more about me than the fair.
All in all it was quite a nice day (though a little warm for my taste - it must have been really hot for those in latex). I even got to meet subMissAnn and have my photo taken with Latex Mustang.
After watching this wonderful procession, I am motivated to get involved in the local community. I was even handed a flyer by a Wicked Grounds employee as I was walking along, which I took as a little sign that I should go to the next Stampede munch (they relatively recently moved their munches to Wicked Grounds).
