Pony Play Tack: Stud Chains

The stud chain is often used on intact male bio-equines as part of the halter when the animal is "spirited". While, I have used it in the bio-equine world, I have not used it nor have had it used on me during ponyplay. I know it's possible to use this in ponyplay, but all of the ways in which it is applied to a bio-equine just look like a recipe for trouble if applied similarly to a human especially if you have dental work.
I have personally used this a few times during pony play scenes with mixed results. I will post a short video demonstrating its use in the future to give you a better idead of what it entails and you can decide whether or not it's for you (and if you think it will be efficacious for you or your pony). As a big fan of gags and bits, when I have used it (or rather, had it used on me), it has been through the mouth, similar to bit. However, the stud chain can be used in a few different ways.
The stud chain is applied to the halter of a vio-equine (and possibly a human pony) in one of four ways:
- Around the nose such that when the lead rope is pulled the chain applies pressure to the pony's nose
- Under the chin such that when pressure is applied to the lead rope, the chain will bite into the lower jaw
- Directly through the mouth just like a bit
- Between the upper lip and the pony's upper teeth such that the chain is resting against the pony's upper gums
As I mentioned above, I have typically used it as a bit (number 3 in the list above). I have also had it used under the chin, as in number 2 above, which was interesting, but especially effective.
