• Hoof Boot Approximate Template - The templates for the metal hoof portion of the hoof boot I made. The templates should be approximately correct when printed out on 8.5" x 11" paper. They are not exactly correct (they are original tracings),but they are pretty close. After welding everything together, I used a grinder to trim off a little excess metal (especially from the base and top of the foot plate) and make the curves smooth. In the article where I describe how I made my boots, I mention making construction paper templates to confirm the size, shape, and fit of each piece. I highly suggest doing this before moving on to metal.
