Today's topic: bridles. I am only including links to purpose made bridles and head harnesses for ponyplay since bit gags and bit gag trainers are fairly widely available. This list is in no particular order:
- Fury Fantasy - They have a few different bridle designs, all of which look to be able to accommodate your choice of bit. Pony ears are available on the bridles. I really love their gear.
- Leder Gummi Studio - A couple unique looking bridles - one with a metal finish (which I really like), another with beautiful red piping. They also have a spiked bit gag trainer (the spikes are on the leather straps, not the bit), which looks cool. The English version of their website does not seem to functioning well at the moment, but the native (German) version is pretty easy to navigate and self explanatory.
- Sinvention - They sell a few different designs. I like the look of their gear, but most of their head harnesses do not allow you to directly attach a bit, thus they are more like halters than bridles. Still, I love their gear, and you can wear a bit gag over top of most of their bridles.
- Fleet Ilya - Really more of a bit gag with reins, but it matches their saddle. They also recently added a bunch of new pony gear (and other animal play items) including this bridle with ears and this one with integrated gag and removable blindfold.
- Fantasy Leather - They have a couple bridles for pony play. The Ledermeister pony play bridle offers a removable bit - potentially you could then have your choice of bits depending on how (dis-)obedient your pony is on any given day. They also sell a bridle based on JG Leathers' design and a Ledermeister halter, which is really more of a bridle than a halter.
- S-Art - A couple nice bridles: one made with brass and leather that comes with plume and mane and another more elaborate bridle. Note on 2024-11-09: S-Art's shop is temporarily unavailable, but you can check their main website for updates (they also do classes and events if you are in Germany). I'll update the notes as things evolve, but if you're highly motivated and interested, you could reach out to them and inquire about the possibility of them selling you something custom, old stock (if available), or another one off.
- Fetish Universe - They sell four nice bridles (top left, and then second and third rows on the page): all four come with pony ears and two include blinders as well.
- The Stockroom - Not sure who makes this one since I've seen it around on a few online stores, but I've linked to The Stockroom's pony head bridle set, which comes with pony ears, muzzle, blindfold, and blinders. It's actually a really hot looking bridle.
- Terginum - They have a nice pony play bridle, which comes with pony ears and blinders. It looks well crafted and from the photos, it looks like it can properly attach a Pelham or curb bit.
- Fetish Pets Store - They have a pony play bridle that appears to allow interchanging bits (and using pretty much any bio-horse bit that will fit in your pony's mouth). The bridle also comes with horse/equine ears and blinders to keep your pony focused. Furthermore, it seems to permit proper use of leverage/curb bits as well as Pelham bits (similar to the bridle above from Terginum - actually, the Fetish Pets Bridle looks very similar to the Terginum bridle - perhaps they are based on the same design?). The cost is also fairly reasonable, at around €300.
- Firebird Leather - They don't appear to regularly sell bridles or head stalls, but they do have custom drops, which may in the future include them, so it's worth checking on them from time to time since their work is truly amazingly beautiful.
- North Bound- They have a nice basic bridle with blinders and an integrated half cheek rubber coated jointed snaffle. A little on the expensive side, but it is a nice design. Incidentally, they also sell a patent leather body harness with a large D-ring jointed snaffle integrated into to the design of the piece at the back. The harness is fairly unique and an eye catcher but also on the pricey side (~$800 USD).
- Bizarre Rubber Shop - A cool looking rubber pony bridle with ears and blinders. It would be an especially great bridle for a rubber pony.
- Fetish Discount - They have both a regular pony bridle and a deluxe version of the bridle. Both come with plumes (available in different colors), reins, and integrated bit. The deluxe version also includes blinders and ears. I really like their deluxe bridle (I'm a sucker for humiliating horse ears :), and the price point is fairly reasonable.
- Birch Place Shop - A pink bridle complete with pink ears and bit, their bridle is sure to be a show stopper. They also sell another PVC bridle with longer ears and blinders, which has a cool look to it.
- Skin Two (formerly Honour) - A pretty bridle with striking red ears and plume - out of stock as of 2024-11-09, but they have a couple of other bridle options.
- Leather Etc - The have a couple bridles in different colors with and without blinders. They also have leather wrapped bits in cool colors.
- Eufory - A nice bridle with ears and blinders for a reasonable price.
- Extreme Restraints - A nice, simple bridle for control of your ponyboy or ponygirl. The silicone bit can be more comfortable than a metal or rubber bit.
That's it for now. I'll try this again for another piece of tack at a later date. Hopefully this will be of some use to you in finding a bridle for you or your pony.
Check out my articles on pony play bridles, bits, or general ponyplay tack if you are interested in learning more about tack and equipment for the human pony.
I'm sure there are a few other places to buy bridles, but these are the main ones I know of. Please let me know of any other bridle retailers, and I'll be happy to put them up on the list.
